Create Odoo Manufacturing Orders From Shopify Product Options

Run when a Shopify order is paid, so production only starts on money that has been collected.

Go through the order's line items one at a time.

Keep only configurable products, for example line items whose SKU starts with a model prefix such as CANOE- and that carry line item properties.

Read the configuration rules table for this model: each option value with the Odoo component internal reference (default code), the quantity it adds, its price, and which other option values it is incompatible with.

Map the line item properties to a list of components and quantities using the rules, flag incompatible combinations, and recompute the expected price from the rules to compare with what the customer paid.

Continue only when the configuration is valid and the recomputed price matches the order. Otherwise tag the order for review so nothing reaches production on bad data.

Look up each component in Odoo's product.product model by internal reference to get its Odoo ID.

Create an mrp.bom record for the base product template with quantity 1, type Manufacture this product, and the Shopify order number as its reference.

Go through the mapped components and create one mrp.bom.line per component with Create Custom Model, linked to the new bill of materials, with its product ID and quantity.

Create an mrp.production record (a manufacturing order) for the product, quantity from the line item, the new bill of materials, and the Shopify order number as the source document, left in draft for the planner to confirm.
