FAQs
Will a product alert more than once?
No. The workflow records the alert date on the product's data record before it posts anything, and the filter skips any product that already has one, so each product alerts a single time even if an order is retried.
Do refunds and cancellations lower the count?
Not in this workflow, which counts paid units. To keep the total net of returns, add a second workflow on Shopify Refund Created or Order Canceled that subtracts the refunded quantities from the same data record.
Does it count orders from before I turned it on?
No, it counts orders paid after the workflow is enabled. To start from your history, run a one-time workflow with Shopify Get List of Orders that adds past quantities to the table and sets alert sent for products already past the threshold, so they don't all alert at once.
Can I use a different threshold?
Yes. Change 10 in the filter to any number, or add a threshold field to each product's record so different products alert at different totals.
