🚀 October was a big month for the MESA template library: 64 new templates went live. Most of them start from things merchants asked MESA's AI assistant to build, so they cover real, everyday jobs: keeping spreadsheets in step with your store, bringing Etsy orders into the tools you already use, and letting AI assistants like Claude answer questions from your own shop data.

🧩 New templates in October

Every one of October's 64 new templates is ready to switch on as is, or to hand to the MESA AI assistant as a starting point it can adjust for your store. Each one solves one specific task, from catching up on past orders to rewarding customers who buy outside your online store.

For Etsy sellers:

Ask Claude About Your Etsy Orders With MCP Opening Shop Manager and filtering receipts every time you want to know what sold is slow. This workflow gives Claude one MCP tool: when you ask about your Etsy orders in a chat, Claude passes a date range and order status to MESA, MESA pulls the matching receipts from your shop, and Claude answers with totals, best sellers, or the orders still waiting to ship.

Backfill Past Etsy Orders to Google Sheets The usual Etsy-to-Sheets workflow only logs orders placed after you turn it on, so your sales spreadsheet starts empty. This workflow runs once, pulls every Etsy receipt from the date range you choose, and writes one row per item sold with the receipt ID, date, buyer, item title, SKU, quantity, price and order total, in the same columns your ongoing order log uses.

For keeping Shopify, your spreadsheets and your other tools in sync:

Update Google Sheets When a Shopify Order Changes Logging new Shopify orders to a Google Sheet is easy, but the sheet goes stale the moment someone edits an order in Shopify admin: a corrected shipping address, a new tag, an added note, a refund. This workflow watches for order updates, finds the row that already holds that order by its order ID, and rewrites it with the current details, so the sheet always matches Shopify instead of only showing each order as it was when it was placed.

Import Shopify Product Metafields From a CSV on FTP Updating SEO keywords, care instructions, or specs across hundreds of products by hand is slow and error-prone. This workflow watches a CSV on your FTP server and, for each new row, sets a product metafield in Shopify from the row's product ID and value, skipping rows with an empty value.

Award Smile.io Loyalty Points for Odoo Orders Orders taken in Odoo, like phone, wholesale or in-person sales, never reach your Smile.io rewards program, so those customers miss out on points they'd earn online. This workflow watches for new Odoo orders, looks up the customer in Smile.io by email, and adds loyalty points based on the order total, so every sale earns rewards no matter where it was placed.

Send a Recurring Scheduled Message to a Discord Channel Post the same announcement, reminder, or check-in to a Discord channel on a timer, every day, every week, or every few hours, without typing it each time. This workflow runs on a schedule and creates the channel message through MESA's Discord bot, so it follows Discord's rules instead of automating your personal account.
