The usual Etsy-to-Sheets workflow only logs orders placed after you turn it on, so your sales spreadsheet starts empty. This workflow runs once, pulls every Etsy receipt from the date range you choose, and writes one row per item sold with the receipt ID, date, buyer, item title, SKU, quantity, price and order total, in the same columns your ongoing order log uses.

How it works

Run one time, on demand. After the backfill finishes, turn the workflow off and let the ongoing Receipt Created workflow log new orders.

Fetch the shop's receipts created between the start and end dates the merchant chooses, paging through results until all receipts in the range are returned. Skip canceled receipts.

Go through each receipt, and inside it each transaction (line item), so every item sold gets its own row.

Add a row with the receipt ID, order date, buyer name, item title, SKU, quantity, item price, order total and a Channel column set to Etsy, in the same column order as the ongoing order log sheet.

FAQs

Why not just use Etsy's CSV download?

You can. Etsy's Download Data tab exports orders one month or one year at a time, and you paste the file into the sheet yourself. This workflow writes past orders straight into the same columns your live order log uses, so the history and new orders line up without reformatting.

Will this create duplicate rows for orders my live workflow already logged?

Only if the date ranges overlap. Set the end date to the day before you turned on Send Etsy Orders to Google Sheets, and the two never write the same receipt.

Does the sheet get the buyer's shipping address?

No. Etsy only shares address information with apps in its Preferred Partner program, so leave address columns out of the sheet.
