Automate Collections Based On SKU Patterns Using Tags

If you need to generate collections of products based on patterns in your SKUs, here is a workflow you can use.

You set up the SKU patterns in the Transform step. They are using a pattern called “regular expressions”, which can get somewhat complicated, but for most use cases, you just need to use .* whenever you want a wildcard in there.

You can then use the tags that are added to the products in your automated collections.

How do I use this?

Add MESA app. From the Shopify App Store, install MESA on your store. Start for free or enjoy a 7-day trial on any plan.
