Frequently asked questions
Can I customize the writing style or length of the descriptions?
Yes, you can edit the prompt in Step 2 to specify exactly what you want. For example, change it to "Write a compelling 2-paragraph product description for [product title] that emphasizes benefits over features and uses an enthusiastic but professional tone."
Will this overwrite existing product descriptions if I edit them later?
No, this workflow only runs when a product is first created. If you manually edit a description after the workflow runs, it won't be overwritten. The trigger only fires on new product creation, not updates.
What happens if the AI generates a description I don't like?
You can manually edit any description in your Shopify admin after it's generated. You can also improve future results by refining the AI prompt in Step 2 to be more specific about what you want, or adjust the temperature setting to make responses more or less creative. Additionally, add an Approval step before the generated description is added to the product in Shopify.
