Tag the Shopify Order When a Square Sale Is Refunded

Run whenever a refund is created in Square. The refund carries the order_id of the original Square order, its amount_money in the smallest currency unit, and its status.

Continue only if the refund status is PENDING or COMPLETED. Skip REJECTED and FAILED refunds, since no money went back to the customer.

Search Shopify orders for the tag square-{{refund order_id}}, the tag the Square-to-Shopify order copy workflow adds to every order it creates. Return the order ID and its current tags.

Continue only if exactly one Shopify order was found. If none was found, the Square order was never copied into Shopify, so there is nothing to flag.

Add a line to the Shopify order's note with the Square refund ID, the refunded amount converted from cents to dollars, and the refund date, keeping any existing note text.

Add the tag square-refunded to the Shopify order, so refunded counter sales can be excluded from saved order views and exported reports.
