FAQs
Where do the status and results link show up?
In the order's Metafields section in Shopify admin, once you add order metafield definitions for them. Apps, Shopify Flow and order printing tools can read them too.
What if the lab system doesn't know the Shopify order number?
Send whatever the lab does know, such as the customer email or a kit ID saved on the order, and change the lookup step to search by that instead.
Can the same workflow handle every status update?
Yes. Each update overwrites the status metafield, so the order always shows the latest status, and the results link is added once results are ready.
