How it works

5 steps to turn new rows in a supplier CSV into draft Shopify products with Claude-written descriptions

Check the supplier's CSV on the FTP or SFTP server on a schedule and run once for each new row, with columns such as SKU, supplier title, specs, materials, dimensions, vendor and price.

Continue only when no variant was found for the SKU, so existing products are never overwritten.

Send Claude the row's supplier title, specs, materials and dimensions with two or three of the store's best existing descriptions as examples. Ask for a product title under 70 characters and a 90 to 130 word HTML description that leads with what the buyer gets, lists key specs as bullets, and uses only facts from the row. Return the title and description as separate fields.

Will the new products go live on my store automatically?

No. Every product is created as a draft, so it stays hidden from customers until someone adds images, checks Claude's copy and publishes it.

What happens to SKUs I already sell?

The filter stops the workflow for any SKU Shopify already has, so existing product pages and the descriptions you've edited by hand are never touched.

How do I keep Claude from inventing specs?

The prompt only passes the row's own columns and tells Claude to use nothing else. Spot-check the first batch anyway, especially sizes, materials and care instructions, and tighten the prompt if a detail slips in.
