This step connects to your Shopify store and adds a line item to the order that was just created by Recharge. You'll need to configure the "What is the free product that will be added to the order?" field with your product ID, and the "What is the variant of the free product?" field with the specific variant ID you want to include. The workflow automatically sets the quantity to 1, applies a 100% percentage discount, allows duplicate products if the same item is already in the order, and prevents sending notification emails to customers about this addition. You can find product and variant IDs in your Shopify admin under Products.

What happens if the free product is out of stock?
The workflow will still attempt to add the line item, but Shopify will handle the out-of-stock scenario according to your store's inventory policies. Consider adding a step to check inventory levels first, or set up notifications when free product inventory runs low.
