Sometimes, line item properties are used in orders for technical integration purposes, but you’d rather not have them on the order after it’s placed. While they can be manually deleted in the Shopify admin, there isn’t a clean way to do it via the API.
One workaround we’ve identified is that you can remove the line item and re-add it without the line item properties.
