Weekly Etsy Sales Digest with Claude via Email

This step runs the workflow once a week, on a day and time you choose. You configure when MESA should generate the digest, for example every Monday morning so you start the week with last week's results. Once the schedule fires, MESA retrieves the shop's recent transactions for the next step.

MESA calls Etsy's Get List of Shop Transactions action to pull the shop's recent transactions, including the items sold, quantities, and sale timestamps. This runs automatically and requires no configuration. The full transaction list is passed forward to the filter step, which narrows it down to the relevant window.

MESA compares each transaction's timestamp against the current date and keeps only those from the past 7 days. You can adjust this window if you'd rather see a different lookback period, for example the past 14 days for a biweekly digest instead. Only transactions that pass this filter are handed to Claude for summarizing.

Claude reviews the filtered week of transactions and identifies the top-selling and slowest-selling items, then writes a short summary along with one merchandising suggestion, for example running a promotion on a slow mover or restocking a fast seller. You can adjust Claude's instructions to focus on specific product lines or to change how many top and slow sellers it highlights. The finished summary is passed to the email step for delivery.

MESA sends Claude's summary as an email to the address you specify. You configure the recipient email address and can adjust the subject line to match your preference, for example 'Your Weekly Etsy Sales Digest.' The email arrives on the same schedule as the trigger, giving you a consistent weekly checkpoint on what's selling.
