Will Claude change my listings without asking?

No. Claude asks before it calls the tool, and the Approval step in MESA holds every edit until you approve it there. MESA answers an MCP request within 60 seconds, so if you approve later than that, the edit still goes through but Claude won't see the confirmation; ask it to look up the listing again.

Can it change prices or quantities?

Not in this workflow, which only touches the title, tags, and description. Etsy keeps price and quantity in listing inventory, which would need its own workflow.

How does Claude know the listing ID?

Pair this with a workflow that lists your active Etsy listings, or paste the ID from the listing's URL in Shop Manager into the chat.
