Frequently asked questions
Will existing customers with high spending get tagged when I activate this?
No, this workflow only runs when new orders are placed. Existing high-spending customers will only get the VIP tag after they make another purchase that triggers the workflow.
Can I change the VIP tag name to something else?
Yes, you can edit the tag name in Step 4 from "VIP" to any custom tag like "Premium Customer" or "High Value" to match your store's terminology.
What happens if a customer's total spending drops below the threshold due to refunds?
The workflow doesn't remove VIP tags automatically. Once a customer is tagged as VIP, the tag remains even if refunds reduce their lifetime spending below your threshold.
