Send Discord Channel Message for New Shopify Products

This trigger activates every time you add a product in your Shopify admin. It captures the initial product data including the product ID, creation timestamp, and basic details. No configuration is required - MESA automatically connects to your Shopify store and begins monitoring for new products. The product information collected here gets passed to subsequent steps to build your Discord notification.

The delay step waits exactly 30 minutes after product creation before continuing to the next step. This prevents incomplete or missing product information (like images or descriptions) that might still be processing in Shopify's backend. During testing, this delay is automatically bypassed so you can see results immediately. You can adjust the delay duration from 30 minutes to any time period that works for your product publishing workflow.

After the delay, this step retrieves comprehensive product information including the product title, handle (URL slug), published date, images, and all other product details. It uses the product ID captured in the trigger to make a fresh API call to Shopify, ensuring you get the most up-to-date information. This complete product data feeds directly into the Discord message formatting, providing all the details your team needs to see about the new product.

The shop retrieval step fetches your Shopify store's domain information (like "yourstore.myshopify.com" or your custom domain). This domain gets combined with the product handle from the previous step to create the full product URL that team members can click in Discord. Without this step, the notification would lack a direct link to view the new product on your storefront.

This action creates a rich embed message in your Discord channel featuring the new product. You'll need to configure the "channelId" field with your Discord channel ID (right-click your Discord channel and select "Copy ID" to get this value). The message automatically includes the product title, a celebratory description, timestamp, product image, and a clickable link to view the product on your store. The embed uses a custom color (15105570) to make notifications stand out in your channel feed.
