Remove Shopify Draft Orders Older Than 30 Days

When you or your team creates a draft order in Shopify, this trigger captures the event and starts the 30-day countdown process. The trigger automatically collects essential information like the draft order ID, creation date, and customer details. No configuration is needed - it connects directly to your Shopify store and begins monitoring immediately once the workflow is activated.

The delay step pauses the workflow for exactly 30 days from when the draft order was created. During this time, the workflow remembers the draft order details and waits patiently in the background. You can customize this timeframe if needed - some stores prefer 15 days while others extend it to 45 days based on their customer follow-up processes. The delay includes a test bypass option that lets you skip the wait time when testing the workflow.

After the 30-day delay completes, this step automatically deletes the original draft order using Shopify's API. The deletion uses the draft order ID captured in step 1 to target the exact order for removal. Once deleted, the draft order disappears from your Shopify admin's draft orders section and cannot be recovered. The workflow only deletes draft orders that haven't been converted to actual orders during the waiting period.
