Create Pinterest Pins From Any Webpage With Scraper

4 min setup
No coding required
Runs automatically

Pinning a page by hand means copying its title, finding the right image, and writing a description, one page at a time. This workflow starts when you paste a link into a Google Sheet, uses MESA's Scraper to read that webpage's title, main image, and description, and creates a Pinterest pin on the board you choose that links back to the page. It works for product pages, collections, blog posts, or any page with a share image.

How it works

4 steps to turn any webpage link into a Pinterest pin automatically

When you paste a new link into the sheet

App connector: Google Sheets • Time to complete: 1 minute

Run each time a row is added to the Google Sheet you use as a pin queue. Column A holds the page URL; an optional column B holds a board name to override the default board.

Scraper reads the page's title, image and description

App connector: Scraper • Time to complete: 1 minute

Scrape the URL from the new row and extract the page title (og:title, falling back to the title tag), the main share image (og:image), and the description (og:description, falling back to the meta description).

Skip pages with no share image

App connector: Filter • Time to complete: 1 minute

Continue only if an image URL was found, since Pinterest needs an image to create a pin.

FAQs

Why start from a Google Sheet instead of the page itself?

The Scraper reads a page when it's given a URL but can't watch a website for changes. The sheet is a simple queue: paste links in whenever you want them pinned, and each new row becomes a pin.

Can I pin pages from sites other than my store?

Yes. The Scraper reads any public page, so it works for your blog, press mentions, or partner pages. Only pin pages you have the right to share.

What if a page has no share image?

The Filter step stops the workflow for that row, so no broken pin is created. Add the image to the page's social sharing settings, then add the link to the sheet again.

Personalize this template

Customize this workflow even further:

Have Claude write the pin description
Add a Claude step after the Scraper to rewrite the description as a short, keyword-rich pin description instead of reusing the page's meta description.
Log the pin back to the sheet
Add a Google Sheets Update Row step at the end to write the new pin's ID and a Done status into the row, so you can see which links were pinned.
