Tag Shopify Orders with Payment Gateway Information

This step automatically monitors your Shopify store for new orders and fires whenever a customer completes a purchase. The trigger captures the complete order data including the payment gateway used, order ID, and existing tags. No configuration is required - it connects directly to your current Shopify store and starts monitoring immediately. All order information gets passed to the next step for processing.

The retrieve step pulls the full order record from Shopify using the order ID from the trigger. This ensures you have the most current order data including any existing tags and the specific payment gateway used for the transaction. The step automatically uses the order ID from the trigger to fetch the complete record. This retrieved data provides both the current tags and the gateway information needed for the final tagging step.

The update step modifies the order by combining existing tags with the payment gateway name from the transaction. The workflow automatically appends the gateway name (like "shopify_payments", "paypal", or "stripe") to your current tag list with a comma separator. No manual configuration is needed - the step uses the tags and gateway information retrieved in the previous step. Once complete, your order will have all its original tags plus the new payment gateway tag for easy filtering and reporting.
