Which kinds of forms work best with this workflow?

Any form where a submission means something has to ship: free sample requests, warranty or replacement claims, giveaway winners, or internal requests from a sales team. As long as the form collects a full shipping address, each response can become a ShipStation order.

What happens if someone leaves part of the address blank?

The filter step stops that submission before it reaches ShipStation, so you never get an order you can't label. You can add an email step after the filter to follow up with the submitter and ask for the missing details.

Will the order show a price or charge the customer?

No. The order is created for shipping only. You can set the line item price to zero for free samples, or fill in the real value if you need it for customs declarations.
