Create QuickBooks Sales Receipts for Paid Shopify Orders
Retyping Shopify sales into QuickBooks Online takes time and invites mistakes. This workflow runs when a Shopify order is paid, finds the customer in QuickBooks or creates them, and records the order as a sales receipt with its line items, shipping, tax and discounts, so your books keep up with your store without manual entry.

FAQs
Why a sales receipt and not an invoice?
A Shopify order is already paid at checkout, and QuickBooks records paid-at-sale transactions as sales receipts. If you need invoices instead, for example for net-terms B2B orders, swap the final step for Create Invoice.
Will it create duplicate customers in QuickBooks?
No. It looks up the customer by email first and only creates one when no match exists.
Do I need a QuickBooks item for every Shopify product?
No. You can post every line to one general sales item, or match lines to QuickBooks items by SKU if you track products there.
