The filter compares each order's total line items price against your specified minimum amount to determine if the customer qualifies for a free gift. You'll set the "What is the minimum order amount?" field to your desired threshold - the default is $100, but you can adjust this to any amount that makes sense for your business. Orders that don't meet this requirement stop here, while qualifying orders continue to the next step where the free product gets added.

You'll select both the free product and its specific variant from your Shopify inventory using the product and variant selector fields. The step automatically adds one unit of your chosen item to the order with a 100% discount, effectively making it free. The system also adds an order note "Add free product" for your records and can optionally notify the customer about their free gift being added to their order.
