Run once for each new row in the supplier products sheet, with columns such as SKU, supplier title, specs, materials and dimensions.

Send Claude the row's supplier title, specs, materials and dimensions with two or three of the store's best existing descriptions as examples. Ask for a product title under 70 characters and a 90 to 130 word description that leads with what the buyer gets, lists key specs as bullets, and uses only facts from the row. Return the title and description as separate fields.

Write Claude's title and description into the AI Title and AI Description columns of the same row and set a Status column to Needs review, so the team can approve or edit each one before import.

FAQs

Does this change anything in my Shopify store?

No. The copy is written back to the sheet only. Once the team has reviewed it, import the rows into your store, or add a step that creates or updates the product by SKU.

Will it rewrite rows that were already in the sheet?

No. The trigger runs for rows added after the workflow is turned on. For a sheet that is already full, copy the existing rows into a new tab one batch at a time.

Will Claude make up product details?

The prompt only gives Claude the row's own columns and tells it to use nothing else, but check the first batch for invented sizes, materials or care instructions before you trust it.
